In a topological setting, we explore the concept of manifolds and their classification. Many examples of manifolds up to 3 dimensions are given. Properties such as whether a manifold is prime and polygonal representations of surfaces are explored. Major results are the classification of 2-manifolds and the existence and uniqueness of prime decompositions of 3-manifolds.
